Project Managers (Placements Team)

EWB-UK's placements are made possible by our Project Managers. Every Project Manager works with the Placements Team to develop placement opportunities with a partner organisation and support the volunteers that are placed on their project.

Fundraising Co-ordinator

The Fundraising Co-ordinator is responsible for raising over £130,000 that EWB-UK needs to support our growing programmes in poverty alleviation. We need a charismatic, confident leader who can represent the organisation and inspire people from the man in the street all the way up to board members of multinational engineering firms.

This is an awesome challenge and a fantastic opportunity to develop skills that will be invaluable to you in the future. This vital role has a wide network of support within EWB-UK including a team of volunteers and mentoring from professional fundraisers and directors of engineering firms.

Fundraising Team Volunteers

EWB-UK’s Fundraising team is a group of EWB-UK members around the country who:
  • Liaise with existing and potential corporate and grant donors to secure funds for EWB-UK’s activities.
  • Work with EWB-UK’s university societies and members to help them raise funds through band nights, sponsored events and other initiatives.

Publicity & Media Team Volunteers

The team as a whole is responsible for EWB-UK raising awareness about its activities to ensure that all the programmes of EWB-UK receive the attention they need and deserve. Team members may undertake a variety of roles throughout the year, some examples of which are given below. The average time commitment is about 1-2 hours per week on average but may be more on some occasions.

Placements Branch & Company Ambassador

A simple but important role, requiring little or no prior experience. You will become the eyes, ears and mouth of the placements team, being the point of contact for all communication with your local network.
