Shelter Weekend Course 

 Cost £15

A weekend course on shelter construction both in development and emergency situations as well as sustainable building techniques. 

• Eco-shelter (www.ecoshelter.org) will run a practical course about building Mini-dome structures - smaller versions of the ingenuous ecodome construction methods.

• Following many years of successfully constructing and living in Yurts the good people of Coed Hills have agreed to show us how they're constructed.http://www.flickr.com/photos/dave_raw_lin_son/200160750/
• If you reckon you could build a shelter out of nothing then come and prove it in our shelter competition.

On top of all that there'll be demonstrations on sustainable building techniques such as plastering with cob and lime and the construction of compressed earth blocks.

Then, shoe horned in somewhere, will be numerous talks by experienced individuals just back from the field or shelter research projects.

Add all that to the amazing food that Coed provides (as well as a short walk to the pub) tand this weekend becomes one not to be missed.  But it only costs about as much as a trip to the cinema with a large popcorn and coke!
